When all is said and done, Samuel Felinton’s main goal is to give back by creating opportunities like the ones he was fortunate to receive—especially access to free education and learning resources online. The Mountain Roots Project preserves culture, with an emphasis on Appalachia, by restoring vintage films, music, photographs, oral histories, and artifacts. It also branches out to explore and archive cultural stories from around the world, connecting local roots to a global narrative.
